Manitou Passage Golf Club, previously named King's Challenge At Lakeview Country Club, is a semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Cedar, Michigan.
Opened in 1998, this course was designed and built by Arnold Palmer and Palmer Design Course Company. Taking full advantage of the natural contours of the land, Palmer Design created a unique and scenic course of incomparable beauty. In Arnold Palmer's own words, "If we were to pick a place or situation to build a course, this is the place." Hilly vistas and elevated tees abound, and are both challenging and rewarding.
In the spring of 2009, a group of dedicated golfers who have permanent or seasonal homes in the area purchased the course with the stated intention of upgrading it dramatically and making it a destination course. The Arnold Palmer Design Company of Orlando, Florida and Peridian International of Newport Beach, California were retained to designed the improvements to the course and clubhouse respectively.

R-named Manitou Passage. Great layout and twilight rates can't be beat. Still worth it even at regular rates.

Arnold Palmer layout on land that is ideal for a golf course. Has fallen on hard times but the greens staff has done a great job considering. Hope it's still there when I go back.

Nice touches- starting with unloading clubs to your cart, free bottled waters, towels and tees furnished and cleaning your clubs at end before unloading into your car. Warm up nets for hitting drives and a large practice green. Ball washers, club washers, cooler supplied on cart. More free bottled water in cooler at 10th hole. View from 8th hole and 17th hole spectacular! Greens were a bit firm, but overall course was in great condition. Rather small bar and dining with reasonably priced menu. First class place for an affordable price, put this on your list if you are in Northern Michigan (not U.P.)
